#MuslimahMonday: Highlighting Nabiha Syed
Today’s #MuslimahMonday is featuring our Graphic Designer, Nabiha Syed! Read her full interview below:
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Do what you feel like doing, don’t worry about what others think, go at your own pace, life doesn’t come with a timeline. And one quote that I really just like is, “life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” This quote really makes me want to live in the moment and make every moment count so that I remember it. I don’t actually remember who gave me all this advice but its helped.
If you could time travel, where would you go and why?
Uzbekistan because that’s where one of my favourite Imam was from, Imam Bukhari, I just want to see what life was like back then considering he is such an amazing human being. Also, I’d honestly like to travel back to the Prophet (PBUH) time because there’s just so much to learn from him.
What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?
My bluntness coupled with this look on my face that makes me seem pissed off. I’m just really straight up and to the point and I don’t like to sugar coat what I’m about to say because it feels like I’m lying. And the look on my face is literally just my face, I’m honestly like half asleep most of the time and thinking about nothing.
What’s something you wish you were better at?
So many. Time management, communication, studying, being more sympathetic. Toning down my dark humour definitely another one.
If you could have any item from Infinitely Classic, what would it be?
Due to my lack of interest in applying makeup and my love of oversized comfortable things, I’d say the one thing I would buy from IC is the Hope sweater in XL size.
